Dear Member,

We hope you have enjoyed the season so far. It’s not quite over yet but it is time to plan our closing events and outline the details of our annual early sign up offer!
The final day of indoor play is Sunday April 28th

You are also welcome to carry over any excess bookings and use them outdoors. The bubble will be down and the courts will be ready for outdoor play by May 11th at the latest. You will have continued access to our on-line system to make bookings but as of September 1st all member accounts are cleared and you must re-join for the following season.

Our ‘early sign up deal’ is on now for the 2013/ 2014 indoor season! This provides you with an opportunity to hold your spot for next year and get a few ‘bonus bookings’ added to your total. You will also have your name entered into a draw to win your membership! The club is currently at full capacity and we do fill up each season so it is very important to reserve your spot now in order to guarantee a placement for next September.

We would also love to see you stick around at Joshua Creek this summer! As mentioned you can use any leftover bookings from the indoor season or you can even pre-book a weekly time for entire outdoor season. Imagine your own private court for the summer!

Closing Round Robin

The Closing Round Robin will be held on Sunday April 28th. All members are invited to attend! Reserve your spot by calling the Club at 905-257-5019. This event is free for all members.

12:00 pm to 2:00pm      Finals of Club Championships

2:00pm to 4:00pm         Round Robin/ Wine and Cheese

4:00pm to 4:15pm         Draw for Prizes (Including the free membership!)

Free Membership Draw

In addition to the bonus bookings, anyone who registers on or before April 28th will have their name entered into a draw. The person drawn will be reimbursed in full for the membership they signed up for! The draw will take place on Sunday April 28th after the Closing Round Robin. You do not have to be present to win…

Club Tournament

All members are encouraged to take part! It’s as much for fun as it is for the challenge and competition. We have adult and junior events that include both singles and doubles draws (a minimum of 8 teams or individuals is required to run an event). There is no entry fee but all matches use up one booking per player (with the exception of the finals).

Weekend Play Only: April 20th & 21st and April 27th & 28th

Matches will be scheduled between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm)

Players who sign up must be available for all dates!

Events:

•       Men’s Singles
•        Men’s Doubles
•        Ladies Singles

*A minimum of 8 players or 8 teams are required for an event to run

Entry Fee – one booking per match played (finals excluded)

Finals and Semi-Finals will be two out of three sets

Early round matches will be a pro-set to ten games (tie-break at 9 games all)

Each team (or player) must provide a new can of balls at the start of the tournament, the winning team keeps the unopened can for the next round

Prizes

Singles Winners receive 4 extra bookings for next season.

Doubles Winners receive 2 extra bookings each for next season.
